Getting to and from school safely
As a parent or carer, it’s your responsibility to get your child to and from school safely. Student safety is our priority.
Keep our school community safe by:
- driving and parking safely, even if it means parking further away and walking the rest of the way to school
- being a good role model
- never calling your child from across the road
- using the safest place to cross the road.

- Hill Bus - Morning for Berowra Waters area Route 638 (arrives / departs opposite the school)
- Hill Bus - Afternoon for Berowra Waters area Route 3524 (arrives / departs opposite the school)
- Hill Bus - Morning for Galston area Route 3128 (arrives / departs on school side of Arcadia Road)
- Hill Bus - Afternoon for Galston area Route 3562 (arrives / departs on school side of Arcadia Road)
*** From Sunday, 10 March 2024 *** the bus services providers previously known as HillsBus Co Pty Ltd will change their name to CDC NSW R4 Pty Ltd.
There will be no change for students with an existing Opal card. Transport will update these student entitlements to be listed under the new operator and have CDC NSW R4 Pty Ltd.
For new SSTS School Opal card applications, students, parents or guardians will need to nominate CDC NSW R4 Pty Ltd as their bus operator.

For parents and carers of younger children
Discuss with your child how to be safe when:
- walking
- in the car
- waiting for, travelling on, and getting off the bus
- riding bikes, scooters and skateboards.
Also talk about and practise:
- safe travel routes
- plans for when unexpected things happen
- what to do in wet weather.
Subsidised school travel
Transport for NSW provides subsidies to assist school students.
- The School Student Transport Scheme provides eligible students with free or subsidised travel on public transport between home and school.
- The School Drive Subsidy may help towards the costs of driving children to school if you live in an area where there is no public transport.
Students travel to our school from local and surrounding areas such as Berowra Waters. Our location via Google Maps can be found by clicking on school finder
If a bus pass for your child is required, please apply online through Transport NSW
Once the Student Opal Card is received students will use HillsBus for their journey to and from Arcadia PS. The current school bus timetable for our school is available here
