Creative arts

Creative arts is mandatory for students from Kindergarten to Year 6.

In creative arts, students discover a variety of art forms through a study of dance, drama, music and visual arts where they learn to appreciate, compose, listen, make and perform.

Each art form has its own unique knowledge and skills, elements or concepts as well as a capacity to inspire and enrich lives.

Creative Arts education at Arcadia Public School inspires creativity, engages our students’ imaginations and fosters their talents in a broad spectrum of opportunities.

They explore with traditional and innovative mediums including digital technologies, building on previous knowledge and increasing the complexity of their understanding in a secure and encouraging learning environment.

Events throughout the school year such as visiting musicians, student music recitals, dance workshops, drama performances and student art displays showcase the palette of exciting opportunities available to students at Arcadia Public School.
